Default Had my first 928 Tech session in my new shop

Art and Roger came over today to change sway bars and the shift coupler. Art did most all the work and then Roger finally got his hands dirty.

Is that all? Are you sure Roger didn't slip in a new set of motor mounts when you weren't looking?

More green envy coming out of me.

It doesn't look like anyone got their hands dirty. Man, you guys are on a whole different level. I don't have that kind of space, and when I work on a car, I'm up to my elbows in dirt and oil even for small stuff.

That shop is a beauty. You could eat off that floor, WOW!

I think that is amazing too. I think we need to rename the Texas crowd as the "White Glove Society" !

What are the details on that lift? Where did you get it and what was the cost?

I am looking at lifts for my shop now.

I want a 2 post cable lift, but haven't settled on the manufacturer yet.

The lift is a Direct Lift, Pro 9d. I bought it from Derek Weaver Co in Fort Worth for $1,735.00 with tax.

I think yours would be this guy Greg Smith Equipment Sales, Inc.

Roger did try the motor mount trick but Art wasn't falling for that old trick.
He did however put it on the list of things to get done.

It was so bright in there at night, I got a headache. Really, I'm just massively jealous. Nice place, needs more vintage cars though.

So Brad, you got your sway bars back?

And also, what were doing in your shop Saturday night? I believe Doc got his hands dirty and the hair singed off his hand and arm from your lawnmower tech session.

I guess that explains why everybody was standing in the shade under the car.

Nice shop. There's no such thing as too much light in a shop.

Brad your garage is incredible!

That lift is really reasonable. Any idea what the cost was for installation? How much height do you need in the garage for it to work? Also can you use it for storage purposes or is it not really designed for that?

I wish you lived closer to Baton Rouge! I'm sure I would wear out my welcome.
