Default Norcal928 Detail Day - April 19 - Walnut Creek

Time for a Spring Cleaning - Next Saturday, April 19 starting at 10 AM - Jim Morton's, 2060 Hermine Avenue, Walnut Creek

Brian Doty (Iceman) and Jim Morton will be demonstrating detailing techniques on a very worthy subject - George Suennen's 1990 S4 open road racer. It's probably been a year since George's car had a bath and that was not more than a spritz at local DIY car wash. THIS WILL BE A CHALLENGE.

While Brian and Jim develop their muscles buffing George's sorry paint, you can wash and detail your car.

Share a barbecue lunch courtesy of Jim Morton.

Come watch George's road weary car restored to its original luster again and share the day with your 928 buddies.

        RSVP here!

Here is a Google map to Jim's place.

Take the Rudgear exit off 680, watch carefully for Vanderslice, then Milton and finally Hermine.

        See you there!

George's shark will just slip through the wind with its polished finish... Just as a pilot once told me that a smooth finish on an airplane reduces drag and fuel consumption.

I look forward to being there!

        Andre:

I presume your Shark has most of its interior still there unlike George's, so it can serve as the test mule for Brian and Jim's interior detail demo!

I'll be there buffer (or two) in hand......it will take A WHILE do get Georges race shark's paint to decent standards....but it will get done...... however once its done it will go at least 10mph faster..... so when George gets his 200mph jacket this year he'll have to add a little asterik and a note of the "high speed" polishing increased his speed!!

Matt says he'll be there. A few other very new members should make it as well. Hopefully Angelo will make it too. Dave Benson may drop by in the afternoon.

Oh, yes, it was neutered yesterday so it can't run off and get into trouble.

Since his car is getting it's annual wash, will George be gettin' his annual haircut too?
