Wee-eelll...if you could maybe plan something a little later in May, there is the tiniest slightest possibility that Kevin will be able to get this thing together by then, and maybe we could make it after all. No promises, but the junker is out of here this week it looks like, and we pretty much have everything else ready to go once the new car gets in the garage. Kevin says no no no, but I've seen him pull off some incredible miracles before that he said he couldn't do, so I'm sort of holding my breath on this one. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

OK, Adam took some time last week to check around and he found a place with a dynojet that could get us in for a day in mid-late June.

If we can agree on a date and get enough people it will be worth it. I think it was $1000 for 8 hours, or $150/hr (standard rate) for less. So it will be worth it if we can get 7 cars lined up and move them through for one or two pulls each. Otherwise, maybe just a few of us will go and the rest can hang out and then we'll go back to Adam and Apryl's for a BBQ.

So I'm going to need preferred dates and commitments from anyone that's interested. What do you say?

I think it's a very good bet that Kevin and I could make a date in June. We have nothing on the boards for any weekend at the moment, so just let us know what date is chosen as soon as you can, so I can be sure not to get weekend work scheduled for then.

However, I don't think we will actually dyno. Kevin's a bit nervous about dynoing an untested and unproven car that far from home the first time. Plus, it's a different model than the one we use (you guys are going to a Mustang dyno, right?) up here, and we'd sort of like to stick to that one so we can see the changes. Apples to apples and all that.

But we would love to come hang out for the day, watch you guys do your thing, and do some BBQ'ing!

I need commitments before I can set a date. We're looking at June 21st or June 28th. Can anyone commit to a max. $150 for 3 pulls (and if we get enough people it will go down)?

Default Woo hooo!

Hey guys!

Well, after several weeks of attempting to get ahold of someone at our favorite local dyno shop, I finally got Billy on the phone at TT Performance. Explained about the dyno day we wanted to do and he quoted me a price of $60 per car, good for about 4 pulls each, if we bring at least 6 vehicles. He also said he'd put some food out, and was happy to do it on a Saturday...

The place is in Clifton near Route 46 and the Parkway, probably about half an hour or a little more away from Adam's place, which leaves us a nice little run between the dyno and the planned festivities there.

TT just needs a week or two notice, so we still have time to make the 21st or 28th. Mike, do you think this would work ok instead of what you were looking at down there by you guys?

Hi Leslie,

That's a great price! I hope we can get six cars to make it work. Between you and Kevin, me and Adam that's 3 cars. We'd need 2 or 3 more. Adam has a thing on the 28th now, so it might have to wait until the middle of July now. If that's OK with everyone else it's fine with me.

Can anyone make the 12th or 19th of July?

Well, I'm glad this seems doable!

We can pretty much make any Saturday as long as it's not the next 2. All we need to know is when everyone else wants to do it!

TT Performance is actually in Passaic Park, I'm told by Kevin....but I have to go through Clifton to get there, so it's pretty close to the edge of the two. I didn't realize I passed out of Clifton to get there.

The address is:
453 VanHouten Ave
Passaic Park, NJ

And their phone number is: 973.365.2270

Billy is the guy we usually deal with. Because he knows me, he's not requiring deposits for the day. He said if I wanted to collect deposits from you guys and pay him the day we go, that would be fine. So if you wish to do that, let me know.

But I'd rather just have everyone simply show up if you commit to showing up.

This is gonna be fuuuun!!

I figured that was the shop. It used to be called the Toy Store IIRC years ago. Did a lot of MR2's and early Supra mods. just drove by it the other day he had a number of worked vettes and other cars out front. I live about 2.5 miles from there.

let me know what day you all decide on. i have a number of track days coming up. I hope to make it though. If you find a day that works i will let you know ASAP if i can join in the fun. Thanks for doing the leg work.

BTW what kind of dyno does he have? Is it a mustang type, dyna pac ??
