I recently participated in a conversation regarding the painting as opposed to the powder coating of wheels. The consensus of those I spoke with, is that painting is better because if you scrape the wheels, they are sometimes repairable if the damage is not too severe. However, if you powder coat the wheels, should you have the misfortune to scrape them, powder coating will sometimes break off in chunks. I'm sure there are other opinions

Agreed, I am still thinking of blacking out the center section of my wheels, but i would leave the outer rim silver.

My cup wheels did 4 years powder coated with no problems. Super easy to clean, easy to own.
I do understand possible trouble refinishing vs paint, but the pc holds up like iron.
