Default black wheels...?

I'm thinking about having my wheels powder coated black. Anyone done this? How do you think it would look?
thanks

imho black coated wheels only look good if the outer rim is left uncolored.

Agreed, I am still thinking of blacking out the center section of my wheels, but i would leave the outer rim silver.

search for a thread of "Daymon66" (I think)

He is selling his black S4 and it has black Cup I's or II's. you can get a great idea of what it looks like

I recently participated in a conversation regarding the painting as opposed to the powder coating of wheels. The consensus of those I spoke with, is that painting is better because if you scrape the wheels, they are sometimes repairable if the damage is not too severe. However, if you powder coat the wheels, should you have the misfortune to scrape them, powder coating will sometimes break off in chunks. I'm sure there are other opinions

Thanks for the search idea, that gives me a good idea of what they'd look like. Not sure if I'll do it, but if I do I'll post a picture of the results.

I like the full powder coat look, not big on the lip uncoated. I just like the stealth look.

Those will look fantastic. I've been wondering what I can do to mine to make them different, but classy. I think you've done it.

All black looks better on most cars. I would do paint instead of powder due to possible problems.

My cup wheels did 4 years powder coated with no problems. Super easy to clean, easy to own.
I do understand possible trouble refinishing vs paint, but the pc holds up like iron.

True, I haven't had any problems with the PC yet, it's been 3 years with the 86.5.
