Are you talking about those people that put Rap music on their youtube videos as they are revving their cars?

What exhaust???? That is the sweet (but loud) sound of a 3.5" straight pipe with no mufflers. (normally, we run the rear borla can, but in the Time Attack day, there were no noise restrictions.) Lots of fun!

By the way, scot left my house and pissed off the neighbors, but man, his car sounds GREAT!!! that magnaflow is more muffler than i have, and it sounds really tight!!! plus, those cams (or lack of idle control) gives it a lop'ing idle that just sounds mean! Ill see if i can get a clip of it on video

I'm talking about any video, featuring an exhaust note, that has an overlaid musical soundtrack so that you can't appreciate the exhaust sound.
My comment was triggered by listening to the Weissach on Andrews video at 5:34 as referenced by Hupp in Post #55.
But, it happens all the time. I see it alot in race track vids. I realize some people may prefer a musical sound track to the natural sounds of tires and exhaust and grinding gears and cursing drivers but I don't.
I'm just one voice crying in the wilderness and I don't expect anyone to change their desired format for me, guess I just felt a little whiney today.

Johnny- Your Euro sounded bad -*** as hell last year @ Summit Point- Remember we were all in the Paddock area and one after another revved our motors as we all (928's) rolled out. Definitely got the attention of all the 911, & 951 guys.

I couldn`t agree more Charley ! I never understood why people want to "mess up" the natural sounds from the recordings, but hey, it`s a free country right ?

I can understand that Andrew puts music on top of the wind noise when he`s driving with the camera out the window though

I sure would like to hear that Weissach passing by WO the music Andrew, maybe that can be arranged ? pppppplease !

Thanks Ketil. When I was a wee lad growing up in North Dakota we had an old Norwegian neighbor whose name sounded like Chittle Lundy. Is that how your first name is pronounced?

Hey Charley, and everyone else

A lot of Americans pronounce my name like " a kettle" and strangely enough my name comes from that exact word

Now you're just being evasive. How is it pronounced in Norge? I'm trying to determine if my neighbor's name was actually Ketil.

With the fear of being mark: my name only has one t, so you pronounce it just the way it is written : K e t i l ,see ? That`s easy

OT (Sorry Mongo! ) Reminds me of the name of Car & Driver's editor. I believe he is of Czech descent and his name it Csaba Csere. You pronounce it just like it sounds....

Yea, sorry Andy

Well, back to the topic at hand: Is there anyone out there who has a good digital camcorder with mic.input ? I know Sony had a couple Hi8 camcorders with that. That way you can connect a good quality microfone with some kind of noice filter on the end, and REALLY record the true sounds from our glorious engines (well, I don`t have one yet ) Often the sound quality decreases with rpm`s WO any form of filter on the mic. Anyone ?

Dennis and I have nearly the same set-up. It sounds sooooo sweet at the track, reaching near the rev-limiter in 3rd gear at the end of the front straight at Thunderhill. We get plenty of compliments from other guys at the track.

Anyway, we both have Devek Level II headers, into 3.5 inch single pipe. I have 2 Borla mufflers, but I think Dennis only has one, so he is just a touch louder than me. Hope this helps.
