I say we close this thread so that Ed doesn't get his shtick in.

Quick Ron, change the heading to "JD close this thread before Ed Gets in...."

Too late. Let your conscience be your guide. YMMV.

Well, at least I got the jump on your Ed. Something I can be proud of for a very long time...

I have the CDs. They are so much better than the books. All I need is my laptop and all 3 million pages are right there.

I also want to get those TSBs and technical books on CD as well.

Everybody and their little brother are selling CD's an Ebay, but we know who the "ONE" quality seller really is.............. <img border="0" alt="[icon501]" title="" src="graemlins/icon501.gif" /> If you want it all, He's the only one.

Brendan,
sent you an email but thought I'd post as well. Version 2 of the technical publications CDs is getting closer thanks to a lot of help from Tobin R. I still need to get my copy of Omnipage back up and running and scan/convert a few more manuals I picked up. Pretty cool, Tobin edited and converted to mpeg some video from the Fall Tbelt party at Tom Falkenberg's so we've got some good video on tensioner rebuild, waterpump, etc. Plus there will be about 20 or so additional tech pubs on this version. I'll let everyone know when it's finally done.

I'm all for seeing a CD with MPEG files on how to do work. I have pretty good video editing software that can convert video to MPEG/AVI/MOV whatever.

If Tobin R. needs help for something like that let me know!

If you buy the CD off EBAY and not from the right person(s).....shame on you.

The MPEG CD is a stroke of genius and likely worth its weight in gold.

I look forward to it

I have this tiny color video cam. I plan to mount it on the shark and tape adventures driving home and freeway battles trying to get home, or race track driving.

I can mount it on speedmeter, on front grill, sun visor, or backward view. I'll tape on Hi-8 and upload some MPEGs soon for people to check out.

I'm about to do water pump and BT replacement and will tape the surgical operation and upload highlights. Drew and Rich have been a huge help for a new 928 owner.

Thanks.
Tom.

For those who are copyright conscious, If you purchase the microfiche manuals (like I did), then the CD falls under the "Fair Use" clause of copright law...
