The yellow GTS with yellow/black wheels was spotted again recently in Katy by the son of one of our local non-RL owners. He wasn't able to get a picture, but understands that if he ever sees it again, pictures are very much in demand from this group.

I LOVE this car...showed up at the local PCA Porschedillo Concours event one year, but I was running the event and was VERY, VERY busy but had a few minutes to go check it out. UNREAL! The SON of the owner was driving it because his 911 was in the shop...POOR BABY! Should have stuck with dad's GTS though I think!
There were several other 928 guys in the Concours that day and NOT A SINGLE PERSON TOOK A PIC OF THE CAR! I was PISSED when I found out NO ONE took a pic of it! Root wood interior kit, yellow piping on the seats...AMAZING CAR!

James,
I didn't know you had actually laid eyes on it. I guess the previous threads on this car may have been before you were active on RL. Some day we'll get some good shots of the car. Tony in Katy is on the lookout...

Yea, I think they must have been before my time or I just missed them. I saw the car back in '01 or '02 I guess it was...might have been later than that though. I quit running the Concours in '04 I think it was.
Anyway, I saw in a post (I think) where the wheels were mentioned as being black/yellow that was not the case when I saw the car (and it was not delivered that way from the factory) they were yellow/silver (lips). The car was very dirty when I saw it but was clearly in spectacular condition! Low miles at the time, maybe even sub 20k back then...

Haven't read the entire thread, so apologies if this has been pointed out... While contracting at the BP campus at I10 and Hwy 6, I saw this car several times leaving the parking garage in the afternoons. Also a Black S4 that works there. Gave him the thumbs up 1 day when I was on my motorcycle.

Flint,
That is GREAT info! I don't think anyone knew where that car worked or lived other than rough generalizations on the West side of H'town. When were you at the BP campus? Just trying to figure out how long ago that was. We are narrowing it down now aren't we?!

ChuckZ has contact info for the owner, but he isn't sharing, which I completely understand.
Several years ago I made a few phone calls to Porsche service departments and noone knew of the car.
If I had a phone# or email address for the owner, I would certainly try to arrange an extensive photo shoot. I would guess that the owner would not mind some shots being taken at all.

Hate to be the dissenting voice but I suspect if the owner wanted to be 'found' he'd already have been found. Though I wouldn't mind finding James' entourage in my parking lot. There's a lot of surface area to drape models all over my minivan...

I don't think I know anyone that works at BP that could keep an eye out for this car.
James,
Got the camera and photographer(me) covered but the girls are definately your department!
Flint,
Are you living in Houston now? Still working at BP? I don't think we have you in our Houston Google Group. PM me if you'd like to be added to keep up with local gatherings.
Rob,
You'd be surprised, we have a lot of folks in Houston that couldn't care less about RL or any other online community. This owner probably has no idea there are a group of enthusiast talking about his car and wanting to see it up close via pics.
