I've driven my 928 as a daily driver for two years with mixed results. Of course I have been taking the "don't fix it if it ain't broke" approach so the shark has had some down time within the past 2 years and 15,000 miles but other wise its been a totally reliable car

If you can stomach the gas prices/ mileage and you enjoy all the stares then I say go for it.

I drive mine 40 miles a day now and it is my only car. It scares me a bit having only one car since I am used to at least two. I will say that since driving my car more now, it seems to be more reliable. I enjoy driving it but it sucks not saving it as the garage queen it was meant to be.

Isn't that ironic that the 928 is the more capable and better suited machine for the sort of driving for which you use the Honda or Chevy? Something is wrong with this picture. That is not meant to cast criticism on you personally.

No, I drove mine from 90-97 with no major problems (150.000 km). And yes you learn alot from driving it every day, and make's you smile.............

H2, don't want to hijack this , but yes its ironic.

Shark is bright red and very unusual around here. Has very quiet exhaust by-design, but still attracts competitive drivers of all types. Touting the V8 on the personalized plate is counterproductive. It slows me down because it pumps others up.

Lumina and accord are drab colored, fairly low, and very responsive in the speed range I'm dealing with. Stealth.

My '84 "S" has been a daily driver (I drive about 15 miles a day back/forth to work) since I bought it in Feb '04. Love it! The only occasions where I do not drive it is when it snows alot (I live in Colorado Springs) or when the roads are icy - I then take the '00 Lincoln LS with 4 studded tires to work.
