Default 89 S4 Cabriolet

Wow..this is the newest MY that I have ever seen in a convertible. Strange, though, it looks like a Strosek Kit.

I think it looks pretty decent, but this begs the question"All body work is custom, no bolt-on after market parts where used or hurt during the conversion"

WTF does that mean? It all looks custom, and nothing looks stock, so it is all aftermarket.......right?

I'd drive it, and it already has a 19k bid.

Custom is one-of...
After-market is mass produced non-OEM...

That same car came up for sale about 8 months ago from the same seller. The auction didn't hit his reserve. I believe he wanted $25k for the car. Its very nice looking. Its a shame its an auto.

Looks like a great car, and I think an automatic is probably appropriate for this cruiser.

As already mentioned, rear wing(let) sux.

First thing I'd do, actually, is replace the wheels. And generally clean it up.

Other than that, nice car.

For those too lazy to go to the Ebay ad, heres a pic of the car in question.

At least this one has 17" wheels. It seems that most of these cars that surface are still wearing 15" wheels. Yuck!

I traded email with the seller the last time he had the car on eBay. He actually wanted $40k for it and there are cracks in the fiberglass bodywork in addition to the scratches and chips he mentions. The car was originally built for Chili Davis (sp?) who played MLB for the Angels and the Twins I believe. I too like this convertible but it would need to be completely restored as I think its had a pretty hard life.
