Info on DFW Get together tomorrow, Shock swap party?
#20
Well, it's 10pm or so, the last person has left and we got a lot done on 3 cars.
John got his Koni's installed and is out he door, and happy. I've got the shocks/springs installed on the '88 but have not put the shoes on it. There was an x-pipe that showed up that I need to install. **** Please don't tell Angela**** I'll install that tomorrow.
Ang has 2 rear shocks installed and the stainless brake lines caught us off guard, I don't have any flare wrenches, and that stopped the work on hers. Picking them up tomorrow. Damned if 3 of them went on great, but one decided to be a pain in the ***. Will finish the rest of her install in the morning.
Both of our cars are still in jack stands and I'm in the process of picking up tools and thinking about having John power wash my drive way......farking '89 is leaking oil like crazy. When he said he's put in 3 oil cooler lines thus far, he forgot to say that this car was not one of them. That bitch is leaking all over the place and the pan is clean. I thought my chevy leaked.......
This was an *** whooping of a tech session, more due to us chatting and not focusing on the cars, and that is what is so fun about it. I love this group.
Thanks a million for those that came up here to help. Ryan for making the 4 hour drive here, and instead of staying the night at our place, deciding to drive back home to Ausin. I'd have crashed out here, but hey. Thanks for coming down bro and I hope you had a safe trip home. You are now a DFW 928 Crew Memeber. New York has nothing on us buddy. Also, this man has a memory like no other. We'd ask for a torque spec on a certain bolt.........well, he'd have it quick, no notes, no computer, he had it on his nose. I gave him a lot of ****, I will do so no longer, I like Ryan.
Several guys got to drive the '89 5 speed that we brought back from 928 International, and all agree, that is one strong car. Justin has decided that he hates his family owned '82, and needs it. I'm bidding strongly against him......
Roger will be back in the morning after a personal service call and we should be able to finish off the other cars.
Thanks everyone, this has been a blast.

Sean, its an '80 model, and I dont hate it, she did VERY well on the way to the hospital when I left there, made it from your house to cooks childrens in downtown fort worth in about 25 minutes, she was running great, almost like she heard me talking and wanted to prove me wrong.
And no your bidding against me wont work on the '89, I hope.
Take care of my Y pipe I left there.

Great time had by all. Even my calve musles are sore. That's some serious wrench'n
Ryan, I hope you can manage to drive up more often. I used to drive up from Waco for most of the DFW get together's before I moved up here. It was great meeting you.
P.S. I was the bald headed mutant.
