[Non Tech] Calling all U.K. 928 Owners!
I was just wondering how many U.K. 928 owners browse this board, and if you guys ever meet up. It would be great to swap notes and look ay each others cars sometime!
I am new to the world of Porsche, having just taken delivery of my 928 s2 last week. It is in very good condition, with 101,000 miles and a 1986 model. However it looks and feels like new! I knew it wolud go like stink, but I have also been surprised by the good handling on such a heavy car!
Anyway, if you all give us a shout via this message, then we can see how many of us there are!
Philip.
P.S. I shall also be driving to Le Mans this year. I don't suppose any of you are doing the same?!
Good choice, iv'e got the same car as you! the 1986 Euro is my favourite version - the origional sharper body style with many of the benefits of the S4 thrown in.
Like Johnb my car is also going to be off the road for the next couple of months while it gets repainted.
I would be up for some kind of meet, There are a couple of clubs around already who probably arange this kind of thing. I have been meaning to join them - maybe now is the time!

Good luck with your car, enjoy yourself

Just thought I'd let you know
Gary.
One of the reasons I love the 928 is that you don't see many around! Unfortunatly that also means you don't find too much info on the internet about them! I shall certainly check out Yahoo groups though!
I don't know if I can get to the autojumble on Saturday, as I have already booked Sunday to go to Santa Pod where some of the Porsche club G.B. 928's should be. I have joined P.C.G.B. but haven't got my membership card yet!
I also like the syling of the S2! I had the choice between a tatty S4 or a V.Good S2, so went for the latter. I am considering getting an induction kit if they really do give you 10% more power, as clubautosport claim. Does anyone know anything about these?
Oh by the way, Norwich is buzzing, now the Canaries have made the First division playoffs!

Anyone planning on attending the British F1 GP this year? I won't be bringing the car, though.
Cheers and congrats,
Donald

I have an S4 silver / maroon 88 plate which I use as a daily driver - 100K miles now 12K in last 7 months with only minor problems.
Work on them is easier than you think and helped considerably by all of the help sites (incl. this one of course) on the web - the specialist parts dealers also making owning one less expensive than you might think........although you still need a wedge just in case!!
Based in Kent - should meet up sometime...
Regards.............Andy
Off the subject a little & our american cousins probably wont understand but well done to Norwich, only Birmingham to beat & it's back to the old Prem for the canaries.
Last time I was at Carrow Road was for Brian Gunn's testimonial against my team Man U.
All the best,
Gary
