I've just managed to sell my house and hope to be a Porsche owner in august..

The only problem for me now is that I've gotten to much taste for the 911's lately.. Maybe it'll be one of those instead..

What to say?
When I come to a driving event in the Danish Porshe club, these '911 boys' looks at me and my 'hopeles car', and and tell me:
"As long as you can drive a car you have a 911, when you get old and cannot drive a car any longer, you get a 928"!
The meaning is good enough - The 911 is a toy and the 928 is the ultimative driving machine!

I really like the 928, and the 964's are great fun and very different to drive.. More raw.

I can't really say which car I prefer, just that they are very different - in a good way.

Is your 928 auto or manual?

Btw, do you know how the Danish income tax system works. I have started discussions with a danish company but and I'd like to be prepared when it comes to dicussing the salary. Problem is that I can't find the correct info.

If you know how it works or where I can find info about it like to e-mail me that would be great. anders@ixiviv.com

As a new owner of a 951 this is something I have asked in my mind many times lately. It's really hard to say which is 'better'. The flagship 928 is much more refind and luxurious, while the 951 is more of a sporty car. I do not track my cars, however I do drive my cars at high speeds every time I go for a ride. The 951 has really impressed me with it's quickness especially from say 70mph to 135mph. The ride of the 951 is not forgiving whatsoever, while the 928 rides very nice for a performance car. Both have the inherited ability to run at high speeds (150+). The 951 is a great car to modify while the 928 is more difficult and expensive. I believe the 944 make a better track car because of this and also the 951 is lighter. Both are great cars and as someone else said having both is very enjoyable. As for a 911, I am a large person and find the 911 just to small. The seating position both in the 928/951 are better suited for me and I find them both easier to drive than the 911. For a cruiser I say the 928 is the best Porsche ever built. And for a 'hotrod' the 951 may be the best Porsche ever built, especially once modified.

Sweanders -

What ever happened with that wicked Bimmer you were looking at?.

Take the norm into coinsideration.

1. Maintenance
2. Gas Mileage
3. Comfort
4. Performance
5. Initial Cost
6. Chick Magnet Factor
7. Chick Magnet Factor
8. Insurance

Anders,
Sige det = Say that
The Danish tax system, that's awful like the Swedish, and for cars even worse, here we pay 180% + 25% sales tax = 205% - Or in other words, we buy one pay for three
Regarding income tax, the average Danish are paying app. 50% - 68% for the last earning above app. 300,000 DKK (45,000 US$)
I will try to find a link with the tax info for you
If it is in Copenhagen, I think better to stay in Sweden and travel forwards and back every day, many people are doing that, and then you still have asses to a good car for less money.
PS: My 928 is an automatic <img border="0" alt="[byebye]" title="" src="graemlins/wave.gif" />
