Nah, don't even worry about it. Not only will there be a over a hundred 928's there but there'll be over a hundred opinions there.

Just stay in your car and keep your windows rolled up, they have these really big dogs......

I looked at the pic's provided by Quinn, all I see is a very dirty set of pipes and undercarriage.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I just don't see the big deal.

Must be one of those "you just have to have been there kind of things?"

It is true my pipes are a bit dirty. And maybe it’s not that big of a deal performance wise. But the 928 has an image to uphold and the Devek pipes, while they do the job of a RMB, simply “look” weak compared to other RMB’s that I have seen. Let me make myself clear, I think Devek is truly one of the best company’s I have dealt with. They are always quick to help you, and are a huge asset to the 928 community. So I hope nobody thinks that by stating my opinion on Devek’s version of a RMB, in anyway reflects what I think of Devek as a whole. So yes I admit it, I am a shallow S.O.B. I care about the appearance of my car, and what else can I say fatty pipes may provide no performance results but… Bigger pipes simply “look” better; of course this is just my opinion.
Besides I hear they have big dogs.

If Devek has little pipes then maybe they have little dogs also.............., but with big teeth.

No...See..... YOu guys don't seem to get this...
<img src="graemlins/offtopic.gif" border="0" alt="[offtopic]" />

They have BIG DOGS. Large. Monstrous. Gargantuan.
Horse-like even.

They lay there, as you speak to Susan about this little part you need (in my case it was an interior light) and they look at you (the dogs) with these BIG, BROWN eyes. And they say (without saying it) that they will MAUL and EAT you (actually its closer to a sloppy lick) if you don't buy a stroker motor AND coilovers, AND give Susan a BIG tip for being a sweety.

I was scared. Fortunatly, there was watching to be done in the work area, so I was lucky enough to get away from those big, lumbering KILLERS (lickers, really)....

But I could FEEL thier EYES and Teeth STARING at me through the walls.

Brendan,

Those dogs are sweethearts. My kids (10 & 13)
love playing with them, rolling around on
the floor and playing with their toys. They
just have to wash the slobber off afterwards.

Here's a picture of the chrome version of the

So, if you don't have time to shower before you go to DEVEK, don't worry - as a bonus service you can get a FREE full body wash (lick) from Zonker and Tuna.

I'm just kidding of course! The dogs are really sweet (they are ladies, after all!), and love to get some attention. Oh, and they know 928s like no other dogs...

George -

I know those girls are SWEETIES!

I still have to send you a pic of the New and Improves 81 auto. The fender looks like new. My wife wants to get that front fender crack fixed eventually too. Maybe a whole repaint?

BTW - I did a carfax, and you were right about the miles being wierd. It was previously titled at 170k in 99! No big deal - its still the same car. I was going to try and contact that guy that consigned it before you bought it. Maybe he has some leads. Its originally a Texas car. I want to get a full history.

About the RMB. I have one that has specificlly added chrome extensions on the end. I don't have my page up, but when I keep at it with a good polish, they look nice. FWIW. Its really the sound that counts.

Cool

Here's a potentially silly question, but I'll ask it anyway.

I have installed a pair of S4 cats on my '85 Euro S2, and a twin tube cat back Borla exhaust. if I pull the rear Borla and add an RMB [no mufflers at all]....how loud will it be?

[I hate my stereo anyway]

Normy!

It will be LOUD. Just trust me.

I have an 89 with the smaller cats and an RMB. Many say that my car is almost as loud as a cat bypass car with and RMB.

It's very ironic. The only dog at 928 Int was one small Whippet belonging to Jim but their RMB is much bigger in diameter.
