New, excited 928 owner.

Well, I took the plunge today and bought my first Porsche, a beautiful 80 928, with a 5 speed. I've wanted one for years, and almost bought one a few years back. But internet chatter convinced me that they were tempermental, and I needed to do some research.
So I went and bought an 81 Ferrari 400i. Boy, what a money pit. But I got that car off my "bucket list", and now that nothing can shock me in the way of repair and maintenance costs, I think I'm ready.
The PO dumped 1000's of dollars into it, and I bought it for a fraction of what he spent getting it in good working order. I have to get the speedo/odo working, the passenger window won't go down, and the A/C control is not working. Other than that, she runs and drives excellent.
I'm looking forward to learning all I can about this car, and meeting some 928 drivers in person.
Any one in So Cal?

Hey Kraig,
I hope you like your new girlfriend. She is going to give you the same happy moments and same bad as your human one. The human one at some point is also going to get jelous. An 80 5 speed! Get us some pix soon.
Do not forget about the 928 Owners Club. at www.928oc.org. They support us owners a lot for owner events and what not. Certainly worth checking out.
Have you run into a 911 guy yet? Thats always a treat. I guess it is the competitive edge in us al that creates a harmless tention.
So what are you planning to do wtih the car? Keep it stock? Maybe some light street mods? What made you want a 928?
Anyway welcome aboard.
Kyle

Alright, here's a pic. Yes, it's a kind of green, nut sure what it's called. And the interior, is well, for lack of a better word, SILVER. Can't be stock, can it?
Always liked the 928. Around here in So Cal, the 911 is actually common. I'm not one to follow trends, and want to drive what everyone else ISN'T.
I had a Ferrari 400i. I sold a car to Jay Leno, my 64 Honda S600 roadster. Just got rid of a 67 Lancia Fulvia and a 64 Fiat OSCA Spider. This past week I've purchased an unmolested 1970 BMW 2002, and a nice 1975 Triumph TR6 with overdrive.
I'm looking forward to a small, yet devoted, following for the 928. I don't want to see an example of my car at the local car shows. And I would like to keep it as stock as possible.
But that's just me!

Kraig-
I thought your username looked familiar, I remember seeing your posts on F-chat. I also saw some online video about the Honda 600 with Jay driving it. That car sounded fantastic!
EDIT: Here's the video with all its aural goodness: http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/cars/H...00_shell.shtml
If you want to be the only 928 at shows around here, just let us know and we'll all park at the other end of the lot......

Rob:
Yep, that's me! Jay actually called me up a few days after he posted that video, and I have a standing invite to go view my old car any time. Someday, I'll take him up on the offer, he's a really nice CAR GUY.
I don't mid seeing a few other 928s at shows, just not dozens of them, which I have yet to see. Unless it's an all Porsche show, then that would be fine
Large turnouts of 928s down there in Irvine at C & C?

If there is a pre-arranged group of 928'ers meeting there (often as a prelude to a karting outing or before a clinic) , then there'll be 4-8 of us. If not, when I go by myself I'm always the only 928 there. It's probably the same at VCR unless the LA/Valley guys have coordinated to meet there (I've only made it to VCR twice.....)
