Post Now ban ME if you want...

Confucius sez - "Lets fuggin grow up and put an end to this stupid hens party!!!"

yada, yada, yada... Sometimes you guys make me sick with all the crappy in-fighting. Or is that just part the 'Porsche thing'? - endless bickering about utter bullshi!t? Someone calls your momma fat and now you're all p!ssed at the whole world and everybody with a pc suddenly chimes in with "the final say"...?

Geesh, I thought we were sportscar owners. Can we get back to business please? Or should we hand this thread to the next best eloquent ***** with another bullsh!t point of view?

Just don't read them if they bother you...

Read the ones on torque tube replacement.

But if you see one called "Munck Ripped Me Off!", then just skip it...

I think it is normal for people to respond the way they do. Someone posts that they had a bad experience somewhere. Ok, fine. Tell us the story. Good to know. But then someone always jumps in, to defend the vendor, etc... Then the person who feels they got ripped off, says that they really were ripped off. Then the defender makes more excuses, and it goes on and on and on... The best answer is just to let people share their stories, both good and bad.

You know what I would love to see?

Someone posting a positive story about how great their Projekt928 supercharger is working. How they got a great deal, and it really kicks a$$. That is what you get with Devek. For every story about a problem, someone else sings their praises. So the truth is somewhere in the middle. If some of you have had awesome service from Projekt928, or superb products, then counteract the bad press, not by arguing, but by telling us about your positive experiences, not trying to discredit someone else's stories. Everyone has a different experience...

OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!!! MAKE HIM WALK THE PLANK!!!!

I kind of see your point.

However, all kidding aside, is it so hard to curb the flame throwing tendencies to an extent that Herr Dunkle doesn't have to worry about frivoulous lawsuits? In case anyone has failed to read some of the supplied URLs, some alledged scoundrels seem to be quite savy with litigation (avoiding and countering). From where I'm sittting, there have been some pretty stupid things posted, even if they may be true.

Inn the future I'd like to have a place to gripe about my flappy problems, when or if I get an S4/GT/GTS....

It does get out of hand sometimes. But then, we ARE all human aren't we? To each his own. I try to ignore most of the OT doo-doo. It's just not worth trying to keep up with who's bashing who (or is it whom?) I visit here to learn about 928's. And to offer help and advice when I've got the answer to a question. Every vendor on the planet has happy customers and unhappy customers. Hell, I remember getting mad at 928intl once. They sorted it out and I returned to being a happy camper. It's how you handle the unhappy customers that determines whether you'll be in business next year.

Meantime, I'm gonna keep concentrating on catching up with Eiffert's inventory. An S4/GT/GTS John? Blasphemy! Real 928's only have 2 valves per cylinder.

Yeah,
And Bosnia is a great place to zero your rifle.
On moving targets...
The Tutsi's and Hutu's can really put an edge on a machete.
Over 400,000 posthumous testimonials available.
Nuclear power plants provide a cheap clean source of energy.
Pennsylvanians, Georgians, Kentuckians, and Washington residents are just happy as radioactive clams.
And all those lazy, shiftless crackheads on dope are fixin' to get booted off of welfare.
Unfortunately, so are millions of other qualified people who's company/union headquarters and federal gov't allowed raiding of pension plans.
Until we have a perfect world -not anytime soon-,
and while it's a relatively small thing incomparison to global issues.
I'll listen to anyone who happen to get shafted in the way of 928 parts and service if it will save ME from grief!
Oddly, we would all like to hear story's with happy endings and HOW those stories developed into happy story's.
It just doesn't work that way, anywhere, near all the time.
Blow that Whistle!
And if you are a happy camper you in turn can gripe about the whiner's - even if the whining is all pointing back to a single source-.

Sounds like the drivel that the 911 crowd pushes off on the 928 guys.

928 Maniac,

HOLY CRAP right back at you!!! I don’t think I have laughed that hard in a long…long time but then again, I just got back from a day at Disneyland-the happiest place on Earth or…is the happiest place Never Never Land –Michael Jackson hide out …well, either way, you still had me laughing…thanks.

Bye the Bye…there is nothing wrong with cooked goose…it’s quite elegant with sautéed garlic tomatoes, vine ripened snow peas and an 84 Kendall Chardonnay but I think you might of already had a wee bit of that.
Cheers!

Cool

::Sound of popcorn being eaten::

Mmmm...hey, pass the salt, will ya?

Yecchh...goose pate?

My girlfriend likes that stuff. It smells like dog food to me-

-I don't watch soap operas, and barely payed any attention to the one that developed here on Rennlist. But it had its moments, just like we all do!

Really, strong discussions like the one that took place should have been conducted via personal email, not on a public forum. I'd still like to hear about it when a vendor does someone bad- we all benefit from that. But it reminds me of a line in a movie:

"Just the facts, please"

N!
2 valves -n- 5 speeds!

Aw, com'n Old & New... I'm just poking fun at Eiffert. In reality, eventually I'd like to have one of each model (OB, S, S4, GT, GTS). In the meantime, I'm shooting for economies of scale with the 2-valvers.

I don't know Mike. I used to think the 83/84 2 valvers were the best thing since sliced bread. Then I got the 86.5, and there is just a little bit more to like about the 928S.

John Eifert

Mike, and more specifically, JE,
MY God!
I wax Pattycakes twice a week sometimes...
With those stables I'd never finish...
Can you get cancer or carnuba wax poisoning from
excessive polishing? Or, should I worry more about the vagaries foot rot from all of the washing?
John S.
P.S.
I seem to recall a post about a part being snaked from a certain tight-fisted grasp by no less than a Big III emp. New leaf, voice of moderation, mellowing with age?
I have to agree on the goose pate, an aquired taste that I won't aquire anytime soon... damn Europeans, they eat snails too!

Wax? Who has time to wax? I'm still trying to find time to pull a clutch and replace the main seal and clutch bearings, swap new seats into the 86.5, finish recovering the seat bottoms on the 12-ways for the black car, pull the rear cover and fix the tail lights on the pewter car, pull the front bumper cover on the 86.5 and have it repaired/repainted after car was backed into, finish speaker installation after S4 interior upgrade to pewter car, repaint pewter car....and that is just the top of the list.

I dont know anything about the parts you mention, but I got too dam many of them sitting around waiting to be installed.
