Default San Diego semi-emergency

Does anyone within the San Diego are have a Piston Ring compressor? I just broke mine, and I was in the middle of the piston installation. I was hoping to finish this in the weekend.

Just checking.

Thanks.

I might have one, can't remember, but am pretty sure Andy (Mongo) has one.

On the other hand, I am positive you can get a new one at NAPA or Pep Boys.

Yes, indeed. I took the plunge and went to the autozone. Low and Behold! They had one. Emergency and frustration averted.

Thanks for responding.

Brendan, I got one of those ****ty Lisle Ring Compressors from Autozone. It's all the way down at my parents' house though. I'm sorry I won't be in Eastlake tonight to get it for you. Try Autozone for one. They can't be more than $20.

Clevite for the bearings and Rotella HD conventional oil for the rings. File the outer edges of the rings so they don't scratch anything, and shove them in.

Thanks. As suggested, Autozone did have what I need. And it was my fault that I broke the first one.
