The S2000 shifter is much more precise than the 928 shifter. This is true.

BUt the 928 shifter is not bad when you shorten the throw, remove the ball cup and put a heim joint at the front, as well as a universal joint at the back. There is no play, so one will need to be careful to not rest thier hand on the lever all the time.
