I expect you are an exception... I usually find drivers of Volvos to be terrible. I just presume they realize they are bad drivers and know they need a safe car.

No a knock on Volvos, just on the typical driver of them that I see.

It is a 1965 Mk2. Do you mean you raced it? I have since the picture was taken changed to Spitfire 1500 axles (1,5" longer) and placed a lowering block between the spring and the diff. Front springs are shortened aftermarket GT6 items. Engine is original so it is far from fast, but fun is not always proportional to speed...

I'd have to agree with you there Stan. Most here in the Pac NW drive the old 240's and some have "upgraded" to the 850..and most just don't pay attention.
I actually sought out this 850...One of 2000 per year (95 to 97) came stock with racing suspension (just better than average), larger wheels, came in red/black/or white, and a higher rated motor...2.3L turbo rated at 240hp. Actually in 95 (it was called the T5-R) it came in a pale yellow which I would have preferred, but those are hard to find. With a simple chip and exhaust, it can go to over 300hp.. weighs about 3400 lbs...and is strong and safe. These were raced in the BTCC back in the late 90s....and had a slight advantage over the sedans due to better aerodynamics of the wagon...

Are you pilot or navigator?

I have a 1st Staffel, 43st JBG pins on my flying jacket. They were flying Alphajet at the time I met one of their pilot.

My other car is an Audi S4 Avant, 2.7 V6 TT. Discreet but efficient.

Samuel
Tornado ECR, I'm attached to FBW 32 in Lechfeld
I'm a pilot and used to fly in Sheppard AFB T-38 as an instructor. That's why I know Roger and the Dallas gang pretty well...
Flying is not my primary job anymore although I fly on a regular basis. My main job is to be the boss of the German Air Force imagery interpretation school nearby Munich.

OK, even though Schocki's jet sorta knocks everything else out of the box, any one of these in my garage will run circles around the 928 (eh, up to about 120-140 depending on which one).

Tom, honda 1100

I too like that 6 Cyl CBX,

I have been toying with the idea of selling my bike, as it is getting too dangerous to ride it around here.
That and it wasn't scaring me anymore.

Took it out last night though, and havent riden it in about 5-6 months give or take, and well it scared me the first time I cracked open first gear at 10,000 RPM.

The first one is an early GoldWing. The 1100 designation is incorrect. I have since fixed that. It's a 76 GoldWing 1000, close to stock except for the seat, paint, bars, exhaust and bikini fairing. The engine is a 4-cyl opposed flat boxer and is essentially bullet-proof. The red CBX with the 6-into-6 aftermarket exhaust screams like a 12 cyl Ferrari. Even though I'm now over 60, I will ride the bikes regularly until I no longer am able, which I hope is at least another 20-30 years.
