Holy thread resurrection Batman! Well, here's some good news. I've got a top rate wrench slaving over my car for a few days and, viola - it runs! To recap, we rebuilt the engine a while back, then had an issue with the oil relief on the left head. It wedged under the exhaust lobe and broke my left exhaust cam. I finally had a 85 cam(GT profile) refitted with the right journal and installed.
At this point things get strange. We tested the engine with the new cam in, and no valves were bent. Either that's extremely lucky or the 90GT is a non-interference engine. It does have recesses on the pistons so that could account for it. I honestly don't know.
After a few false starts, Sean has done his magic, and today at approx 14:22PM CDT it ran under it's own power. Woohoo!
So, I finally get to update my sig and get it back on the road.

I was hearing the joy in your voice as you told me today that the GT is now alive once again.
Congratulations ! It's been a long road.
Now to get Namagts on the same road.
