Post Porsche Decal on rear

Most of the pictures I see do not have the Porsche decal on the rear, only the 928S4 decal. My previous 928 a 1983 had the porsche decal on the rear and it looked good.

What do you all think should I put the Porsche decal on the backside or not?

Oh yea. Put it on the back so that when you blow by someone they won't have to ask. What was that!! My 1982 has the Porsche indented into the rear bumper and then the 928 right below it. The 928 is centered and is in the same light grey color. It looks great on a white car!

This is what mine looks like

I don't think the S4 had a sticker, well maybe one that said just S4, but the word "PORSCHE" has always been an indentation not a sticker. Creative use of a paint pen could fix that.

I prefer the decal compared to the naked indent (I have light gray lettering on my pearl white car). The lettering is available from the 'Big 3', as well as from several vendors on eBay:

Actually, I can't take credit for it. The PO made the 928GT addition. He did it by ordering the 928GTS emblem, cutting it apart and omitting the S. Looks pretty neat though

I agree Randy, I would prefer the letters to be darkened so that you could really SEE it. Looks good on your white car.

I would guess that they are glued on. I highly doubt he would have drilled holes in the car. The GTS emblem fixes to the reflective tailight panel on the GTS. I would bet it is just tape backed. The emblem came from 928 SP. Part # 928.559.221.06.70C

I have the decal, ordered from 928 international for those interested. Go to their item search and type in decal, they have in lt/dk gray and white as well as the S and S4 decal. My car also has the Porsche indented on the rear, see link

Just trying to decide if I want the decal also. It does look good on the white one.

Perhaps 2% of what we offer is on our web site. We can furnish ANY part available from Porsche for your 928, plus many aftermarket and OEM parts and accessories.

That does include the PORSCHE decals for the rear, as well as the other small rear decals.

Call Jeannie at (828) 766-9280 and tell her what you need.

Hey Brent. I like that tail on your car. I know this is going to sound dumb, but is that factory? do you know if that style would fit on my 81' without to much hassle? If not stock where did you get it?

I added the Porsche decals on the back of my car.
I like the new look.

It already had the 928 S4 decal. I put a write up
on my site.
