You are not going to be able to upgrade your bulbs unless you have 8" headlamps. If You have headlights with a chrome ring around them; they are 7" sealed beams. Not much to do here but upgrade to 8" (not cheap).

I upgraded mine last month to Bosch 8" (Euro) headlamps. I coupled them with Hella 55/65w H-4 +30 Xenon bulbs (see link).

There is a lot of information here on this site regarding 8" H4 upgrades (search). You can expect to pay $250.00 each (headlight assembly) minus the bulbs. I went through a back door and found a (new) pair for $300.00.

Moss,

Hold on just a minute!

"You are not going to be able to upgrade your bulbs unless you have 8" headlamps. If You have headlights with a chrome ring around them; they are 7" sealed beams. Not much to do here but upgrade to 8" (not cheap)."

WRONG!

I have 7" headlights with the chrome ring around them and they are not sealed lights; in fact, the bulbs will probably burn the paint off your car if you were in front of me. There are many acceptable 7" non-sealed headlight units that will bolt in perfectly and give excellent lighting. My 7" H4 headlights have crystal lenses and they weren't very expensive. I think they may be the cheapest addition I've done to my car at under $50.

H.I.D. bulbs can be added to our H4 headlights. However, you will loose the use of the high beams unless you car is rigged so the "flasher" lights illuminate when the high beams are activated.

Wow, how easily we get sideways from the original thread!

"Has anyone put any type of hid's into their's?"

Then a slew of H4 comments. Focus!

Not too subtle on your counterpoint there, eh Jim.

While there are other options in the 7" size, the 8 inchers just look way cooler !
