I used the 1000 degree engine paint you get in a spray can at the auto-parts store... It's held up pretty well over the past 5-6 years since I first applied it... It's a good temporary fix, until you get those 993TT brakes...

I painted mine and they look nice. I used caliper paint, which I had tested on one before and it seemed to hold up very well. Since I am still waiting on my ECM I had time...

Mine are already black, or kind of a black blue. This will be finefor my darth Vader look, and I was never intending to do any bright colors.

My point in addressing it is that they shouldn't look like crap if you can see them.

There was no concern before with the S4 flats. You just can't see them.

When I put on Big Reds up front, I painted the rear calipers with red brake caliper paint from Pep Boys and it matched perfectly.

If you ever want powder coating in San Diego, I have used Kel-Coatings on Commerce Ave and the parts came out pretty good.

Here's a how to. I did mine without dissasembly, no leaks, no problems now that they are back on the road.

Cost about $100 for the powdercoating kit and materials.

Anyone ever investigated BBE coatings? Black Body Emiting coatings from places like:

<a href="http://www.performancecoatings.com" target="_blank">www.performancecoatings.com</a>
<a href="http://www.swaintech.com" target="_blank">www.swaintech.com</a>

It would make it black, or a close color to black, and I think I would be happy with that.
