I'll admit I never figured out why a local 82 would not start. It would start cold, run for 5 seconds, then die. After that it would not start at all until the next day. We established it was fuel - most likely only the cold start was working. Something was stoping the injectors from firing, but we never figured out what after extensive tests, brains swaps, etc. Lost contact with the owner.

Thanks for the offer but it seems this will be in 2 weeks before he's back in town.
In the mean time I'm still installing the S/C my neck hurts like hell !

The offer stands Bro!
If you need some help w/ the SC I'd love it!
Even if mixing the rum and cokes and laughing from the side lines was as close as you'd let me get

No offense taken.
I fully recognize that a non-running project car doesn't have much value to many people.
Most of the car's value is in the extras (listed below - if you put a reasonable $ figure by each it adds up quick), but I also recognize that a car is worth less than the sum of the parts and it depends on whether a buyer wants all those extras. Obviously I could part it out but I'd like to see it go to a good home rather than the money.
I'm also toying with the idea of auctioning it and donating 100% of the proceeds to Rennwish, if Tampa 928s decides not to take it.
Either way, I'm going to go ahead and replace the fuel pump so it can be driven and the syncros & clutch evaluated.

In his defense:I have talked to him for 4 months now and he has been very up front on this car.

Victor,
You know how this post gets at times I am well aware of what I am getting into. I must say your kind enough to be taking your time to get it running that way I can make sure I can make an informed decision, shows me there is nothing to hide. You have not even ran this car to know what to expect so it will be a learning experience for the both of us. I think sometimes everybody thinks an OB is worth 1 k until it's ready to be sold then it's worth a lot more. If it turns into a piece of junk it is then my fault, I know enough about these cars now to make a decent evaluation.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if it sold for less than $1000. Just trying to price it appropriately.
