Default Project 91GT valuation????update..GONE

Okay a friend of mine has a lead on a 91GT with some problems.....the dash or gauges don't work (probably a fuse-relay) so the mileage is unknown....the engine runs but very rough..... The body is in good shape and so is the interior......

So what do you think its worth??? Needless to say its for sale CHEAP......

So here is 2 scenarios on its value....one the engine is made driveable fairly easy

two the engine is shot.......

BTW its white with blue interior.....what do you think?

you have to think what will it be worth if it was in decent running/body condition after it's all said and done. If you can add up what you think the fixes will be..to the standard sales prices for a "decent" GT..then go for it...
There seems to be an abundance of 91 GTs out there but my total swag on a value for an average 91 GT..would probably be around 15 to 18k....leaning towards the higher numbers...

good luck and post some pics..

Later,
Tom

Lets just say the price is TOTALLY INSANE

I will have more details tonight.....most likely I will need someone to take a look at it for me......hopefully I can get it to Greg Brown for PPI....at least then I will know what I'm in for!

I already have a truck and trailer lined up to go get it

Don't buy it, you already have a 928 and there are starving children out there.

But do post the location and a phone #...

You better be driving over there to get it now, cause I'm sittin' here with my checkbook. The dash is prolly the 14 pin connector up by the jump plug or another connector at the CE panel. If it got water down there, that's bad.

BTW, make sure it's not a flood vehicle, this is what the symptoms sound like to me.

Easy to figure..aside from the comments already made.

1) What's the car worth if those particular issues were non existent?

2) Now, what would it cost to completely replace what needs to be fixed?

Subtract line 2 from line 1 and you have your answer.

Get a vin number, run a Carfax , see what the history is ! If you would like I could probably go look at it Saturday. Not a PPI but paint ,body ,interior condition check out. Confirm that is still has a GT motor.

seriously, i would call the guy and send him a deposit if you cant get it today.

I did that with my car. I bought it signt unseen. And unless you found out about this from a friend and the car isnt advertised at all, someone here will buy it

in fact i am going to start checking out all the sites i know to find it
