Hi everyone, over the last few weeks I have taken off my fuel injectors and the fuel lines that run to the fuel distributor for a good cleaning. My mistake in doing this was not marking which fuel line went to what port on the fuel distributor. At the time I didnt think it would be that big a deal because the fuel lines are bent kinda to the right spot on the distributor. However, upon re-install they didnt line up exactly and I dont think I have all of them in the correct location. I have searched through my manual and my Bosch CIS book and I cant find anywhere where they mark the ports on the fuel distributor.
What I was hoping is that one of you guys or gals could look at there 79 and mark down the locations for me. Cylinders 1-4 go to the passenger side of the dist. and cylinders 5-8 go to the drivers side of the dist. I just need to know what ports they bolt into.
I would sure appreciate any help on this one. Im trying to get the car put back together for the weekend.
Thanks

I'll scratch your back, you scratch mine. I gotta remove the airbox to replace my accelerator cable. Theres nothing in the manuals showing all the bolts. What else needs to be loosened to get the bottom half off aside from the two non-removable bolts at each end? In exchange for this infomation, i will gladly take a few digital photos of mine to help you out. Is the US CIS same as the Euro?

Removal of the airbox is fairly simple John.
Loosen those two bolts on either end of the box (they have retainer clips so they can't come loose and fall into the intake).
Loosen the hose clamps from the hoses on each end and pop them off.
Finally, remove the retaining bolt located on the top of the air distributor (the spider 'body').
The airbox can now be wiggled out from under the intake.

Hey John, I just got in touch with Eric from projekt 928. He informed me that the fuel lines are NOT cylinder specific. So it does not matter which lines go to the fuel distributor as long as they are all hooked up and no kinks in the lines.
So, I re-installed and the beast fired right up. No fuel leaks or anything. All I have to do now is wire up my fuel guage and I should now be able to see what my fuel pressure is doing while driving and after it sits a while.
Thanks
