Default It becomes this one instead

an 89 S4 5-speed with all records and is in my area. I gave him my lowball offer and he accepted it....!!!!!!! So now I am out of my element, I never evert thought he would go down that much, but he did and now here I am in disbelief. What an awesome car. 1989 5 speed 55K mi.... How could I not go after this one? after talking with the owner it just seem that this car was meant for me. And it doesn't have a burgunty interior either... The only thing lkeft to worry abour is the maintenance it might need in the first 2 yearsa of my ownership....
God this is all happening too quickly.

Sorry to hear the roadtrip is cancelled.

Sounds like you got a better car. Congrats!

Good Luck

Tell us more about the one you ended up with.

When i said the color combo sucked i wasnt being comical, i think pink and maroon looks like hell.

BUT! I do like the violet color that some were thinking looked like crap, Amethyst i think it is. I also said that i thought the amethyst exterior with amethyst and cream interior looked cool. I liked it because i thought it was rare. So as i said or didnt say, take it with a grain of salt. Colors are all very subjective. I rally dont like Red on the 928, I dont really like red on cars in general so its all what does it for you. I do still think pink exterior (and yes, that is pink) and a maroon interior is awful though. No offense though of course to those that may own a cassis rot car.

So in what, a week you went from accident, to total, to check to new car? that has to be a record!

no nothing is done until it is done.
In fact if this 89 5 speed works out I will still be looking and getting ready to get a 2nd 928, which clearly looks to be the one in Illinois that is such a killer deal (the color combo aside). So do not despair, that road trip is something that I will make regardless if I buy that S4 or not. I would love to take a nice road trip up 75 and through a few states and have a nice vacation drive. I can make this trip even if I don't buy the car in Illinois. So I'd like to hear from anyone in my corner of the us that might like to get together. Within the next month or so. Regardless of the car that I choose. I'd like to meet as many of you as I can.

Calm down! Tell us more about maintenance issues you foresee - we are good with that stuff. And upload some pics.

As far as maintenance with this car the records indicate all service is up to date. So there isn't anything obvious that I will need to take care of when I assume ownership. Nevertheless I will be ready with some extra cash for whatever does need attention. And their always is something.

Because if this happens again I will have an a-list lawyer before you can say snuffleupagus and I will be seeking emotional damages for the trauma I've had to live through in all this bull-XXXX. ... Thier best shot is to just leave me be. I am Effing SICK of all of this.. I hate insurance companies.

I am the exception to the rule. The person who hit me had only their companies insurance to cover them, To my great advantage. That wealthy company would have called me wanting to settle for $13,475 if they thought for a second that I wouldn't sue them with a passion. They gave me an offer that was generous and for that car I felt it was a just offer. I would have had to fight that tooth and nail with my own lawyers to try to get a deal that's even just a little bit better than the one I have. So I feel this has turned out fairly so far. And yes I know there will be much to report and update here with my experience as I take ownership and drive the car home. I hope to see a few people from rennlist on my way back.
