I don't think so. The 5.0L Mustang has a unique tone. I have both (a SBF and a SBC) and with simmilar setups they do not sound the same. I'm talking about the exhaust note from low rpms to mid range under normal-moderate load (regular driving). The 5.0s are different than any other V8s (modified exhaust or not).

I think I may have some misinformation about the Bullitt sound track....but it was a 390 cu inch 1968 GT actually two of them. The camera car may have been built on a Corvette chassis ...
