Help! I'm servicing auto trans and can't work out what the brass / copper washer in the 928 intl kit is for - I know 2 smaller washers are drain plugs.

 

Torque converter drain plug.

 

No, too big. I think its for tranmission cooler pipe, but not sure? Torque converter and pan drain plug washers were the same size.

 

Perhaps it was placed in the bag by mistake; the kit I rxd had the 2 drain washers the filter and pan gasket.

Drain old oil from transmission and TC, replace filter, refit pan w/new gskt, refill w/new oil; the fun part.

 

There are 4 cooling pipe sealing washers. Perhaps it ended up in the kit by mistake.

 

928Intl is probably reselling a kit manufactured for a specific Mercedes Benz car which uses that sealing ring.
