It has been for sale for several weeks now and its been while there has been this cheap manual GTS available in Mobile.de except other cheap one listed now which is ruined by modifications.

There are few amethyst 928's Finland, one '91 S4 and one '92 GTS at least. I have heard stories from their owners. If men who think about buying 928 knew how much ladies like that color this one would have gone long time ago and buyer had payed extra just to get it fast.

I, too, love that color! Not so much the magenta in the interior, but the amethyst is one among the greatest colors ever offered on the 928 (along with Iris Blue, Amazon Green, and a few others)

Oh, and then there is always this...

I met a Swede with an amethyst 928 GTS in Gothenburg at the Porsche Parade last year and also have a friend who had a 964 in amethyst. The colour is absolutely fantastic! Another friend of mine had a 993 in amethyst, wonder if the colour on the 993 is a bit different, I didn't like it that much on the 993 compared to 928 and 964. I have seen one amethyst GTS for sale here in Norway, and also one S4 if I remember correct.

A bit dark pictures of the Swedish car I saw last summer, my old '89 928 S4 in diamond blue can also be seen (now owned by another Norwegian here on rennlist)

Hi Erkka,

I saw this car a while ago and I like the body colour a lot.
Not to keen on the magenta dash and door sides though.
There was recently a black manual -94GTS sold here in Sweden with low mileage(75000Km) in fantastic condition.(~220KSEK)
Unfortunately it had the magenta interior on everything inside and that put me off, it is just to much.

I love that GTS, I would take it if i was living in Europe. 17K Euro is a pretty good deal for a GTS

Reminds me of my ex-wife, georgeous on the outside but inside leaves a lot to be desired.

Of course, she speaks very highly of me.

i just realsed the mileage, its at 120K which is less than ideal i guess. Still nice car. I think its still a good price, and the interior and exterior look to be in pretty good shape best i can tell

Seems to me that the thing that's "wrong" with it is that the licence plate was photo-shoped out using the body color, hence making it look like it has no lic. plate recess at all. - Ruf

Did you go specifically to look for it? GTS hunt going on?

Its very likely one of the locals was looking to buy it or at least very similar sounding GTS from Sweden. AFAIK he didn't end up making the deal even though interior wasn't problem at all for him.

That is perfectly normal for ROW cars. Many were driven hard on autobahns then they were new and very few were bought just for Sunday driving.

It doesn't have plates at all. Those are black plastic quick release plate holders used by Germans. Every time car change owner it gets new plates with different number. This is for sale by dealer so it doesn't have plates at all. Test drives are done with dealer plates and once deal is done seller or new owner goes to registration office to get new plates. They are changed so often that someone came up with idea of quick release setup which allows plate to be installed and removed practically without any tools. Many times these holders have ad texts advertising dealer selling the car.
