In Switzerland, the plates stay with the owner for life - & you can run more than 1 car on the same plate but not on the road at the same time.

There is even a mobile phone service so if somebody drives badly & upsets you then you can send the plate number & in a few seconds get the driver details - with luck including the mobile phone number so you can phone up and complain about the driving technique.

Once upon a time long ago, in a land known as California, USA, we were able to get the owner's name and adress and all his/her other vital information from the DMV if we so desired. Then someone stalked a woman and found out her address from the DMV by way of her license and now no one may have access to that information any longer for ever and ever more. Bad move for me because I once had a debt collection business and used the DMV to locate skips.

As for the color, I agree about Aubergine and the old 911s: an outrageous color with a black interior. And this color with black interior would be as good.
If it is a chick magnet, all the better, but I like it alot anyway.

The closest thing we have in California now, are bumper stickers that say
"If you don't like my driving call 1-800-eat-$hit"

Well, Ron, why would YOU need a chick magnet - you already have plenty of girlfriends anyway...

Like others have said; love the exterior color, hate the interior violet.

Dismissed buying a local Amethyst GT basically on the same grounds; if only the interior had been a more neutral color...

Cheers,
Erling

Buying another Erling? Have you sorted out the tax questions on your own car, or still waiting? A little bit OT, but what alloys do you have, and do you have some pictures other than your avatar?

Another one ?? Good heavens no - not with the prices we're subjected to in Denmark and Norway...

No, it was one I looked at before getting the one I have (pics of it in the 'Post your A$$ photos' thread). I'm still awaiting final tax assesment on my car. It's only 6 months since I got it, so it would of course be too much to expect them to have done it by now...

Alloys are Keskin KT2 8.5x18 & 9.5x18. It's a one-piece Speedline/RH 3.6 copy. Don't want to take the thread too far off-topic, but if you PM me your email, I'll send you some photos.

Cheers,
Erling

It only takes 3 months in here. Move to Germany or Sweden and commute from there. I would imagine you could buy several years worth of fuel with that tax money.
