Default Not Another Cup Holder Idea (folding cargo organizer - rv)

No, just saw this folding cargo organizer that looks to be just about the right size...

http://www.rolaproducts.com/products/move.asp?ID=2

and it looks like Amazon has the best price, but the reviews say a strong petroleum order that goes away with time....

Anyone have something similar?

I made the buy... fits great.... no petroleum smell.....movable compartments are great....

here it is installed... holding my car cover and a small mover's blanket. Using small bungee cords to keep it tied down, however it does have a non-slip bottom.

..

you can see here...it folds and locks down flat...

Wow. That is sweet. I could use two. One for the 928, one for the Volvo wagon commuter beast.

How do you keep your carpet so clean? Amazing!

Looks like the carpet is "protected" by a section of that plastic protector chair mat stuff used under a desk, or maybe it's a section of the softer plastic carpet runner you can buy by the foot at Home Depot. I think I made the suggestion a few years ago here as part of a floor mat protection scheme. In the boot, it's a little slippery so the trunk organizer is necessary to keep stuff from sliding around.

I found a roll of gold/beige car carpet at Pep Boys that's the same color as the cashmere sliverknit, but shorter pile. I cut a rear mat from that to replace the original in the car. Original is in safe storage, BTW. The cheap Pep Boyz rug is cool because I don't worry about it, but the Big Advantage is that Velcro sticks to it. The CD changer and the canvas tool-and-detail bag now have Velcro strips on them so they don't move around on the rug. No-holes mounting of the changer was the goal. Easy to move/remove if I need to adjust the space a little for clubs, for instance.

I made the floor mats from clear vinyl SUV Cargo Mats, purchased from Kragen Auto Parts. They're actually designed to be cut to, “custom fit”, each SUV, and thin enough to be done with regular scissors.

Also have the clear vinyl covering the factory front floor pieces. Aftermarket carpet mats would look nicer, but some factory colors are hard to match. The vinyl is much easier to keep clean than carpet.
