928 in May Thoroughbred and Classic Cars
I remember someone else mentioning this about 2 weeks ago. I found it by accident at Barnes & Noble while looking for new 911 & Porsche World.
Very interesting article. I really dont think much of the guy who wrote it. He definatley was a homer for the Aston Martin.
Am i the only one who thinks the AM V8 looks like an overpriced 1970 Mustang Fastback that got beat with an ugly stick?
Also would have been nice if he followed up on the bit about the factory werks drivers choosing 928's, over all other cars Porsche had, for their personal car. (Everybody but Vic Elford i bet!) I really would like a werks driver's opinion/impressions on why they like the 928.
Also, if you peruse the colour cars for sale ads on page 37, there is one tiny but good picture of a 1984 black on black 928s with polished black flat disc wheels. Looks good! Like a road going stealth fighter.
This magazine is worth the price just for the other vintage cars! Imagine a Jag D type for 700k pounds. I think at current exchange rates that over 1 mil US.
If you thing the a$$ end of the 928 is just wonderfull (i do) then check out the rear shot of the Ferrari on page 72.

Yep. that would be me that mentioned a few weeks ago on the list.
Not a totally bad article though. It also predicts a return of the 928.

Why was I even looking tonight to see what the first thread ever put up on the 928 forum was?
Then, when I look at it, I see that both posts have been "liked" five days ago by Daniel?!
What is happening? The universe is folding in on itself.
