Who is attending from Portland? The 928 Convoy from Portland and Vancouver is going to meet at Elmers in Delta Park at 8:00AM (by Portland International Raceway) and depart at 9:00am for the four hour scenic drive and picnic at Paradise Lodge on Mount Rainier. This will be awesome

I would love to come along (in my 944). However, 944s (especially mine) there is always a chance that it won't be running.

Well. Maybe. My 944 was an abused, mistreated, neglected example. I now have it in good working order. It has only actually left me stranded twice: 1. My clutch slave cylinder went (after 120,000 miles, my fault). 2. The bolts that hold the left drive axle on backed out after my complete clutch job (also my fault; I didn't know that you were supposed to use new bolt and re-torque them after 1,500 miles).

Oh well. As for the support groups, I have never been let down (with rennlist, the Pelican Parts web board can be a little fishy).

There are some very knowledgeable people on Rennlist, and some of them frequent the Pelican Parts BBS as well.

Pat, thanks for the offer, don't really need
help but of course you're always welcome to drop by.
Got a package from 928intl. today,so Sunday
I'll be rid of those POS Jacobs wires.
Hopefully that'll get her running smooth
again and then it's on to the clutch.
BTW, I saw on another thread that you were
needing to do your timing belt I've got the
tool here if you need to borrow it.

Cool

Oh just wanted to check the tension, that's all. I had a new belt but on about 10,000 miles ago and had it checked at about 2000 miles. I was thinking it may be a good interval to check it out since I have been driving the car kind of hard on the track (and around town for that matter).

Thumbs up

Pat have not checked this new board much. I will be there. I don't know that I will stick with the group the whole drive. I am the type that if a rice burner wants to lead the way at 90mph up I-5 I will follow and let him sniff out any radar. Anyway, already looking forward to breakfast!

Jim, looking forward to seeing you there. It looks like Dennis Wilson is going to be there too (among others) this should be a great convoy.

I do not.

I dropped my 928 at Stuttgart today. That blue 78/79 is still there. I will call Mike and ask him to let the guy/gal know about the get together.
