You will need to unsrew a couple or more screws at the head liner above the A pillar. You should probably remove the sun visors too now that I think about it. You need the headliner pulled down enough to pop out the top of the A pillar trim. Oh yea, pull out the rubber weather stripping too before you start. The A pillar trim is pretty much held in place with metal compression fittings. Pop the top out first pushing it towrds the center of the car, then slide out the bottom part. installation is just the opposite where you set the bottom in first.

Good luck!

What Keith said. You might think you have missed a screw because the compression fittings hold pretty tight but iirc there are no actual screws in the A pillar itself..

That's right, no screws in the pillar. The Nichols site doesn't have as much as Keith's description. Didn't know about the weather strip...thnx

I think I just pulled on it and it came off. You have to pull on it paralell to the windshield and the clips will just slide off. It's been a while since I did this on the parts car but I think that's how it came off. There could have been a screw at the top, I don't remember.
