Power steering and coolant clip positions.
I’m in the process of renewing all the pipe work and clips around the engine bay before putting the engine back in this weekend. The problem I have is the clips on the power steering / coolant lines. One of the previous owners (in their wisdom) had removed the clips and the pipe lines were all loose, so I have no real idea on how these attach to the bodywork.
All I have to go on are the workshop manuals (which don’t have clear pictures) and the PET catalogue, which states the number of clips but not where they locate. I’m wandering if anyone could be kind enough to post a picture(s) of the pipe runs along the driver side (US spec) or passenger (UK spec) engine bay wall.

There is a stud that sticks out of the body work. There is also a rubber carrier that hold the lines. The lines sit in the rubber carrier that is then held in place on the stud by a plastic clip. I don't have a picture with me, but I can post one later tonight.

Last of Dwaynes pics in post 47 shows the clamp (yellow thing.) That pic is taken on the UK passenger side and on a UK car is looking down just in front of the coolant reservoir- The clamp is a plastic "E" shape it is held in place by a metal plate and an M6 nut onto the stud poking out of the inner wing.
The stud is from memory abou 8-10" above the level of the bottom of of the X member.

Thanks for getting back to me...
The yellow clamp and it's metal cover are now securing the lower ends of the power steering lines down.
I understand (from other posts) that the pressure line runs up and over the suspension tower for several reasons, namely running to close to bank 5-8's exhaust, but what about the return line??? I looked through PET and noticed it calls up several p-clips (see attached picture), where do these go???
Talking of p-clips, on the coolant hose runs several p-clips are called up around the metallic heater pipeline (curved pipe running around the suspension tower), one obviously hold this pipe to the suspension tower (green circle), but what about the other??? There appears to be a place for it close to the ABS pump - there's a small bracket coming out of the wall, ideal for a speed nut / p-clip etc...but it appears to be very close to the ABS support bracket for comfort.
Do any of you have pictures of how the ends of these pipes are secured to the engine bay walls, that's assuming they do at all...
If not I have a lot of p-clips going spare!!!

Mmmmmmmmmm
I had all those lines off and on and off and on and off and on trying to ge them to line up right and I don't have any PS line P clips spare. There probably should be one somewhere on the horizontal leg of the return hose on it's way to the connection just behind and below the reservoir but I couldn't say precisely where it should be - I fabbed that bit of line in Ali tube and it now rattles.

Andrew, you are a star...never though to look at the ABS carrier bracket. makes perfect sense. never noticed a bolt hole under the coil bracket so that explains that one.
As for the coolant p-clip...it appears that the LHD card have a greater metallic pipe running along the side wall of the engine bay. This needs two p-clips to hold it...
The RHD card on the other hand have a very short pipe (runs just above your return line for your PS), only needing one clip to hold the pipe. Guess the PET should have stated that only one clip was needed for RHD cars - not the first time this has happened. Don't worry I'll find a use for it somewhere!!!
Thanks again.
