If you can, find someone in the U.S. Military that is being transfered back to the States and have them ship the car "back home for them". The Military can ship it to a U.S. Base with the personal belongings of the Armed Service member. I know this to be true because I own a Euro model Mercedes that I bought from a Military couple that was stationed in Germany. When their European hitch was up the Army shipped all of their things, including their cars back to the States. It came in thru a Military base in southern Texas. The car was registered in Texas and used there for several years until they got transfered to Calif. and that is where I bought it from them.

Why a UK car? Well I found a 91 GT selling for $11068 with 78,000 miles with service history. I haven't seen a similar GT here for under twice that amount and they are usually $25k+. But it seems that's what I'd end up spending getting it here and having it federalized. It is painful to see it sitting over there for that price. Perhaps I should just make it easier on myself and emigrate.
