Brian didn't point it out, but just to clarify a key discernment for the MY's you referenced - 85 & 86 are the same up to 86 vin ending "0999". 86 vin ending "1000"+ is referenced as 86.5 (86 1/2), due to the addition of larger brakes with ABS from the soon-to-be-released S4 model for 87. This is the main reason for favoring the 86.5 MY, although the non-S4 brakes ("S" brakes) of 85 & 86 are still acceptable.

Speaking of '86 specs
Ain't that purdy?

What's up with the PS pulley? Kinda looks like an overrun clutch?
Scored some '86 dlr manuals off fleaBay. Awesome car. I'd buy one.
I was worried they'd be leftover '85 text, but it describes the four piston brakes, and interior light delay.
Shane, I might let you look at them, if you promise not to drool.
(If I can find a large format scanner, I'll make a PDF.)

Do you got one of these??
'86 product knowledge workbooks they gave dealers so they could talk intelligently about the car they were selling...?
