Default Green Bay 928S anybody know it?

I'm looking at another 928S.

'86.5 Garnet Red Metallic

Autotrader listing:

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...uperSpotlight=

I've e-mailed for more pics and information but no responce as of yet.

Anyone know this one? What kind of condition it is in? Maybe someone can put some eyes on it for me? Please

928 for sale in Green Bay.......

I know the car (haven't seen it in a few years). IIRC the shop I use has some records on this car. I'll see what I can find out.

If you are really interested, I can take it to my guy (and Rennlist member) to do a PPI.

Let me know, and I'll swing by on Friday to take some detailed photos.

Shane, I'm curious why that particular car, besides the fact that it's the best possible model year for 928s.

Seems like SocalBob's 86.5 with no rub strip is a way better deal, even with 50K more miles.

Shane:

You're in good hands with Erik in Green Bay. Next to Beanie Babies, his favorite topic is 928s and he knows his stuff. Especially with older models.

Good luck.

I will be if I buy this 928...

I'm hoping the paint is in great condition, and the mechanicals & interior, but of most importance is the paint. Mechanicals can be fixed, interior can be replace to suit the individual taste, but good paint is hard to come by in a '86.5 with any mileage to speak of.

SocalBob's 928 would be nice and I would consider it but I already have a Guards Red one.

Besides I have these mirrors ready to go on a Garnet Red Metallic 928:

Buy 'em both. Hang on to Bob's for a couple years for me. I'm trying to soften my wife up for one now and it'll take a while.

Thanks to Erik for helping me with making contact with the owner and Page Auto for the PPI. Erik also took a series of Hi-Res photos for me. It all helped in my quest to buy this new shark. I'll be getting this one squared away at Page Auto since the PPI showed some items that needed fixing. Once all is well with it I'll be bringing her home to the stable.

to some very good people in Green Bay!!
