Looks like Louie's intakes.

Besides, I think that pic is a few years old.

With that engine next to that avatar my eyes can't take the strain of trying to focus on both at the same time.

Sterling is right, owner lost interest in the project, first engine blew up, then the clutch couldn't take the power, they made a nice carbon torque tube, engine has around 711 hp. Barnes dry sump pump, welded cams, very high lift and a Nicasil bore from memory, make them an offer for it!

I heard the project died, but dying due to an inadequate clutch sounds weird. There are lots of heavy duty clutch options out there.

Yes, been around since my last 928 and that's been a while. But look at that header. It's a 4-2-1! I wonder if they would consider making it with a more standard exit location so it would work on a 928? Beautiful.

The car & engine are on a shelf, three cars high in storage at Kelly-Moss. Everytime I go to Madison I try to stop by, it hasn't moved in many years.

There are a lot of factors as to why this was shelved, much deaper than any actual issues with the car itself. When this project was started / shelved I had a few friends that worked there.

The chassis is a factory 951 GTO class race car (remember the BOSS car? - one of those). Fabcar cut everything off from the firewall forward to build a new front sub frame for the 928 motor. The original chassis section was kept so the car can be put back to original specifications.

engine has around 711 hp.
I keep hearing this, but never seen a dyno chart. Assume crank HP?
Those intake horns are very tall, must be a torque motor!

Yes, very old picture. Used it to inspire me during my stroker build.
FYI- Louie's motor sits just under the 700hp mark.

Is this a stroker? I would think it must be considering the HP claims but I suppose they could be boosting at 1.5 bar.

Now that I look at it again, you are right. I glanced at it the other day and saw the TB peaking out from the front and thought that maybe that was a cent. SC. Whoops!! 700HP N/A is alot. I guess it must be a stroker that been punched out. Or its been converted to run on magic pixie dust.
