Revervoir cap seal is a common issue, but the puddle would be to the right side. After that's eliminated, it's probably more serious and others have mentioned.

Dave tells me that the rubber tranny fluid cooling line back near the tranny has become so dry and brittle over time that you can break the line open simply by squeezing it between your fingers!
The line itself (not a connector) wore through and developed a small leak.
My car sat for a time before I bought it. The PO is deceased, and I presume the car may have sat during his extended illness and after his death for a while.
I replaced all hoses and belts under the hood long ago - but never thought to replace the tranny cooling lines. I'm very grateful the line didn't spring a leak while I was 75 miles from home on my spirited drive!
He'll replace both lines while he's there.
