Just want to see opinions on these Headlights
Saw a pair of headlights for a 928 on ebay. They are strange looking things. They are called "Angel Eyes". Just want to see some opinions and thoughts on the headlights.

Interesting rice-boy look. Will fit your early car but not the S4, but you knew that.
The lenses don't seem to have the hard cutoff optics that are typical of E-spec lamps.
I've thought of trying to add city-lights to my S4 lamps, bet decided it would be a little cheap looking, especially in SoCal where there are more coffe cans used on Hopnda exhausts than there are home brew-from-the-can coffee drinkers. Everybody grinds their own from bags now I guess.
Anyway, decide if this is a look you like, and figure on adding extra wires to the bundle going down from the buvket, connecting the rim lights to the parking light circuit or something. Or, wire the ground side of the rim lights to the turn signal circuit, and have the rim lights flash with the turn signals, on with the parking lights. Wouldn't that look cool!

Certainly look interesting, but not sure how I like the outer colored ring. I suppose you could leave them disconnected if not your style.
I like the doctors idea of linking the ring lights to the blinkers. Probably want the red for that. (Don't see orange on the available color page).

So, would you turn the blue part one with the lights still lowered, or would you have to raise them and turn the light off while keeping the parking lights on in order to get the full effect? That might get irritating for you after a while.
I agree that's it's kind of ricey.

I think they're attractive. Not for everyone, but its slick and - depending on color choice and when the "angle rings" wired to come on - subtle. I would try a Photoshop mock-up before buying a set because the combination of the chrome trim ring with the angle eye ring might be too busy. All those concentric circles just mezmorizing onlookers...

Can't tell if they are 7" wide overall?
If so, looks like the chrome trim ring will have to be retained.
Too bad - any way of deleting that chrome trim ring would be an improvement to the older cars.

Not my cup of tea. I think the blue would attract too much attention from the police. You'll get enough of that from just driving a Porsche, you don't need to give them any excuses. I've seen 1 928 w/ body color painted trim rings (burgundy) w/ the 7" flat faced lights. It didn't look bad at all. I like the look of the 8" H4s over the 8" H5s and the H4s seem to throw a much better light pattern.

Hey Jim,
Do you stock those hydraulic kits for the 928? I've already got the neon lights from Pep Boys. <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />
