I know you will! The superstitious among us would never say that, however.

Yup. Mine has been dry-docked for a couple weeks now and I know that when I get the OB working again, the snow will come. We'll just have to keep dreaming of that first spring day when...

I have driven my GTS just about every day for the last 7 years.

I've added 51K miles and drive about 16 miles round trip on my work commute. Its been mostly trouble free and enjoyable.

I do have one stretch that is an intermediate section of freeway between two cities - not patrolled by either... A short bit of leg stretching daily...

I'v also taken the car on many 500+ mile round trips and several 2000+ mile round trips including to Denver OCIC last year.

Great on long trips - but almost as enjoyable daily...

Only downside - tough to keep a black car looking good if you drive it every day - and some paint chips are somewhat inevitable.

Mine's a DD, 3 miles one way to work. Two or three times a week, I take it the long way, about 12 miles, just to keep the carbon blown out...

I usually drive both cars on a semi daily basis. The daily commute is almost 10 miles one way on the back roads.
Right now the 81 is in the shop for winter service and the 84 is getting some grille/spoiler repair and wheel well parts.
Since both 928's are down, I've been having severe withdrawls having to drive the Blazer everyday.

Forgot to add that I've put 54K on the odometer since 2001.

SharkSkin: With that handy-dandy Dr.Scholls lead foot you seem to always have strapped on I doubt that you have much of a carbon build up problem !

With gas prices going up, owning 3 v-8 vehicles, NOT going out to spend $15k extra for gas savings, I'll just not put my foot in the gas as hard.

I had my 924 as a "daily driver" from '93 to '97, then my '83 928S as a "daily driver" from '97 to around '04. They were my only cars at the time, although did have motorcycles that I rode too as alternate vehicles, so I really don't drive anything daily. If you want to save some gas money, motorcycles are the way to fly.

My S4 is starting to become a near daily driver. I really shouldn't drive it much until after the upcoming TB renewal project, but its such a damn fine car, its hard to leave it alone!

Lots of good responses. Thanks for the input. Looks like I'll switch off with the truck every few days until I get a few maintenance items done on the 928. Then I'll try taking it every day for a few weeks and see how it goes.

You'd think so... but it seems that everyone else on the road is determined to get from point A to point B as slowly as possible, building as much carbon in their engines as possible... at least, that seems to be the case with people that I end up behind during the week.

I'm using my 81 as a daily driver sort of. I rotate between the different cars, trucks and motorcycles I own. The only one I don't drive much is the 81 Trans Am it usually stays in the garage unless it's going to a show. Jason

Chris, in responce to your comment about motorcycles,

I have a 07 ZX6R kawi ninja and I dont find it gets that great of mileage at all. I mean it gets close to the same mileage as the 928.
