I bought mine 10 years ago, and it was one of those rare 928s that was actually well taken care of by the PO. The first few years all it needed was minor stuff. Since then it has needed a bit more attention, but overall it's been pretty good - depending on how the current saga plays out.

Had my silber 78 for 7 years and the only nonroutine repairs have been a rear wheel bearing and clutch slave cylinder and those were more than 4 years ago. Not bad for a 29 year old daily driver.

I thought you meant any and all works, otherwise, in 15 months of ownership, my shark has never let me down, although it did fail the emissions test and was quickly fixed. I have always driven her to the garage and always for maintenance. Just don't ask how much!

Three Wheelin'
After 4 years of restoring a beater myself, I finally got all caught up last year. 15 months with no major expenses! The car runs, handles and looks great on the inside and out. No leaks. A/C works great.
I do need to fix a door lock motor, the metal frame around my window switches needs to be repainted, I'd like to have a custom set of chips burned, my x-pipe has a small exhaust leak at the cats, and a set of H4s would be nice, but all of these things are minor compared to the things I've endured over the last 4 years. I'll check a couple more things off the wishlist next time the car goes in for servicing.
I figure you'll either pay depreciation or maintenance, by owning a 928 you know where my vote lies...
