the wider intake on the 85-86 cars will not allow the intercooler to fit. look at the placement of the intercooler in my picture. it fits along side the intake assembly.

Aside from the kit, what else was done to the car when it was dyno'd at those numbers? I'm extremely interested...

not a murf kit at all, but very similar to murfs setup prior to him going the sharktuner route.
the main parts are from delta-p. www.deltappower.com

barry,
the car is a healthy s4 auto with some exhaust mods (msds headers and devek exhaust.) pre s/c dyno was 273 rwhp and 301 rwtq. interestingly the dyno numbers were the same with stock exhaust manifolds and cat bypass/rmb setup.

It looks like the delta-p bracket just attaches to the water pump where the normal fan bracket goes. Is that correct? If so, how did you feel about its robustness? Also, I see some damage to the pully in the pictures, but I am not quite sure I get what is going on. Could you discribe it? It looks like it is mostly just kinda scarred up, except that the inner most (AC compressor?) pully actually has some warp to it.

karl,
all the vortech systems use the waterpump as a mountpoint for the bracket. in my experience, i've not seen or heard of issue in doing that. the mount is very solid.
as far as the pulley, yes it has damage to the edges of the ribs as well as some wear to the inside of the a/c portion. the recessed part that fits over the crankshaft is also somewhat scarred and that is why i would not recommend using it as is. i don't feel that the mount to the crank is solid. one may be able to get it machined to fit more solidly but i haven't looked into that. hence the recommendation that a new pulley should be used.
