This stuff was a year and a half old when I first used some but it worked fine. I had kept in in a a ziploc and I'm guessing that's important. I have no idea if the price is reasonable, I was in "fevered acquisition mode" when i added them to an order of a bunch of other stuff. Partly because everything I've ever gotten from these guys is high quality, as described and good design.

It did us (well, John Curry) as well this past weekend. Tim, who is waiting on his 89 to be delivered, had one on him.

There was a lot of wine, good Texas wine, of which I opened tonight and it tasted like ****. Nice to meet you buddy. Hope to have a good report on that '82 tomorrow.

There are plenty of good vineyards in this area, I prefer Becker or Driftwood, but there are plenty that I haven't tried yet.

The tape I have is made by 3M. I've had the roll for about 4 years, just sitting in a open tool bag, rolling around with everything else. No zip lock bag or anything. My guess is 3M is the secret to success. Pay a bit more but get a quality product.

Yea, I agree...the stock tool kit on a 928 is really probably more than you are likely to use other than a relay jumper or spare relay and a couple of fuses...Maybe a can of fix a flat, but most of us probably still have our spare tires.

Will, Jim, thanks for the tips. I've found a more general-purpose, thinner self-amalgamating tape but will check into these. I really had no choice when I was stuck in BFE, would like to have some that actually WORKS in the toolbag so I don't need it.
