Max HP on 4.5L with Euro S Goodies?
I'm getting my daughter an 80 Euro non-S shark with a 4.5L. She refused the beautiful 924 I found for her and insisted on a Shark. I have an extra set of Euro Heads, Cams, and intake. With stock exhuast, what are your thoughts on the power level with the Euro top end goodies, if a 4.7 Euro makes 300hp and a 5.0L Euro makes 320-330hp. Compression would be the same since the non-S Euro has hig compression like the S models.
The 4.7 makes 64hp/liter. That's puts the 5.0 @ 320hp and a 4.5 @ 287hp? I know the math is not that simple but is it that far off?
I could just swap my extra Euro 4.7 bottom as well, But I'm too lazy and would like to keep it ready for my other shark..just incase I grenade the Hybrid. For 15 extra HP it's not worth the effort on her car.
Just ordered all the gaskets so I should know for sure in a few weeks. It's up next when the Hybrid is rolling.

Your numbers are good. May be high with cats and restricitve stock exhaust. Also will lose a few ponies without Euro WUR. Check the piston CCs as well. Each CR point is worth ~3%.
Remember that the Euro S pistons are notched for the larger valves and higher cam lift. Take a good look before bolting it up. I don't recall anyone doing this combo so no prior art.

Cool. I have all the Euro top end goodies including the WUR, though in 1980 the S and non S were the same. I will check the piston cuts. Just cut my Hybrid pistons, not sure I want to do it with the engine in the car this time. Might be a deal killer.

i did the cams on the US 84, but not the heads on the US 84 pistons. it wont touch, but will be a more of an interference engine if you dont cut them.
we got 228rwhp with scots with retarded timing, and the euro intake alone (stock heads and cams for an 82). with the 4.7 and heads, it jumped to 250rwhp and bolting on the 5 liter bottom end, 290rwhp.
