Red face Guess Who's Supercharging Hummers Now...

<a href="http://www.superhummer.com/" target="_blank">http://www.superhummer.com/</a>

Compare the phone number on the above page with the phone number on this page:

<a href="http://www.projekt928.com" target="_blank">http://www.projekt928.com</a>

I sincerely hope that he can ramp up a little quicker and not go thru too many vehicles this time before getting it ‘right’. After all, a Hummer’s engine is considerably different than a 928’s so you can toss any experience gained right out the window. (..Damn!)

And don't forget to click on the 'EXTREME HUMMER!' button either.

I hope he’s not biting off more than he can chew here...

According to the superhummer page, he’s now ‘a hummer export specialist’, catering to the greater Middle East and surrounding countries. Israel has been conspicuously left off the list.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from history regarding our Israeli brothers and great ally, is that you never, EVER, **** them off. Not offering Israel the opportunity to purchase the entry-level Super Hummer, or self-explanatory ‘Extreme’ Hummer, could very well prove to be one of his greatest tactical mistakes to date.

Almost all joking aside...

My real fear is that if he botches a $120,000 job for a Saudi oil Sheik, there’s a somewhat unrealistic imagined possibility, that a covert Special Forces team trained by crack ex-Israeli military commandos (.. by the way whom were trained by black-funded experimental Army Rangers, and a lucky few by the KGB when in their heyday), hand-picked by the Sheik himself from his own bodyguards, will descend upon his shop unnoticed in the dark of the night demanding his quaking right-hand upon a block. And that my friends, is only if he’s lucky.

The stakes are considerably higher this time. BTW, ‘Super Hummer’: now that’s one funny term!

Notice that this "super hummer" is the H2, the one with the all-GM drivetrain. That means that the custon install is really an off-the-shelf kit from one of the Vortech "partners."

Perhaps thare's a chance that, with no real modification or customization to the kit needed, an owner could get the car back on time with predictable performance and longevity.

It also looks like there's just a bit more room in that engine bay than a GTS has.

Regardless if it works out for the Hummer people or not, this kind of thing is somewhat of a confirmation of what people were trying to say before...

It seemed like he previously advertised Mustang mods, and then had problems with that, and lawsuits... Then he supposedly backed away from that project when it went bad, left with some of those people's money...and then advertised that he was taking deposits to make 917 replicas. Then some kind of debacle happend with that too. Once again, lost $$$ and lawsuits... Then there is the $26,000 928 supercharger project and failures, and now the Hummer thing...

I suppose there are two ways of looking at it.

Either it is a case of a smart businessman diversifying his time and product line...

or a case of finding new and gullible victims...

I'm sure people with cars still incomplete, would not want to have time taken up with new business ventures, when he is supposedly so busy, and things are taking so long to get finished...

I want to think the best...
But this sure seems like a bad sign...
I know he's not so bad as to be trying to run off with people's money. I just think he is making some really bad decisions, that are earning him a *really* bad reputation... It would be nice if he could deliver what he promised for once...

Like a 928 supercharger install for $3,500.

Don't advertise it unless you can deliver.

I doubt he has done a H2 supercharger yet.

The first test H2 will be the first customer who puts the $$$ up...

H2 Superchager specialist my a$$...

<img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Let me clarify, that I do not think he is a jerk...
Just making very poor decisions.

He has, in fact, completed a Hummer SC project. Without stepping into the ring again, I can safely say that I have seen it with my very own eyes.

What happened to the Boxster supercharger installations that he was going to be doing?

All of this stuff, and the legal name change, alias, or whatever that is, sure doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling about the whole situation.

Please do not forget that his current 928 participation is actually his 2nd time....and the case is just now going to court...almost 11 years later! I met the victim in LA after he was taken for 120K...for a super 928...that was stock with really bad body kit! Guess who now owns that 928?

This guy is a menace to society....but hey, people and 928 suppliers still support him.

I just dont get it.

Marc...

Are you talking about this 'projekt'?

<a href="http://sis125.berkeley.edu/928/ads/Dup493-1.jpg" target="_blank">http://sis125.berkeley.edu/928/ads/Dup493-1.jpg</a>

Who does own the car in question? Do you have any more details regarding the 'SuperScam' 928?

Adding to an old thread. i just had a run in with him over the resale of Devek radiators. I decided not to buy from him and he sent me some really nasty emails, very unprofessional. Steering clear from here on out..

I wonder what happened to SRV? He used to be quite active in the supecharger talk. I see that he was banned but I wonder what for? I guess it had something to do with his being so hard on Eric Munch (SP?)

BTW I just skimmed through this thread and don't see where Eric Munch's name is mentioned as who is supercharging Hummers now and the links are expired. Just so no one is confused, I am not supercharging Hummers, neither is Tim Murphy or Quick Carl or John...

hey guys from my experince with that guy there was positives but mostly negatives but yes he is a dealer of vortech products according to John at vortechs sale department. As for the hummer kit hes been working on it since the h2 came out so its nothing new unfortunatly vortech has a kit and theres also a kit offered from the hummer dealership covered by warranty. As many complaints as there is for this guy even from me he still must be doing something right to keep him in business.

Hey Harley Guy.

O.K. here is something new to bitc- about. Is that a Road King under your sign in? Are those 16" chubby ape hangers on it? Tell me that isn't a factory paint job. Give us some close ups so I am lambast you about not refinishing that crappy harley rolled on Sherwin Williams paint!!!! There is something new to talk about. I have a Fatboy in the shop right now that is getting that crap paint off of it and being treated to a proper paint job.....
Do you have a drop kit on the bike, maybe 2" white brothers, perhaps? Anyway just trying to change the subject. Post a couple of pictures of the bike and that will start a whole new topic for discussion!!!!

Thanks

My english coach wishes that I should change "am to can". Sorry for the poor proofread, Dave. Also "rolled on" should be rolled-on. Hope that fixes it.

Thanx---Oh, I mean "Thanks"

Interesting how nobody ever says that when comments are made about others, like MotoDyne, and some of the others that have a similar reputation.

There's a famous quote atributed to PT Barnum that explains why a lot of places are still in business.
