The SharkTuner family
The SharkTuner family is pleased to announce the birth of the latest addition to its family - the EZ-F igntion ECU option.
This will remap the EZ-F igntion ECUs fitted to 84-86 Euro 16v and also all 85/86 32v cars. It is an add on option to the LH2.2 version of the SharkTuner.
This completes the planned family. The SharkTuner will now remap the fuel and ignition ECUs for all 928s from 1985-1995.
The price of this add on is 250USD.
There are definitely power gains to be made by remapping the EZ-F on these engines. I improved the 30-90mph acceleration time on my own car by a respectable amount.
Soon I hope to have some dyno figures to have some more accurate data.

It's good to have an '85!
Thanks John!
Now, to find someone who's got a SharkTuner and offer to upgrade his system in exchange for some ST time...

Hi John,
Congrats!!
BTW, I know somewhere in the back of your brilliant mind that you are pondering a way to make the SharkTuner work on the L-Jet too :-) We could send the L-Jet brains to you so you could add a socketed Eprom (instead of soldered in) and then it's "only" another test jig away :-)
Come on, I KNOW you want to do it !! You could consider it an adoption to the "family"!
BTW, sorry I haven't called lately, it has been a VERY weird summer for me. I will call soon so we can catch up.
Cheers!

...... and I thought it was something i had said
I've never looked inside a L-Jet ECU, although my understanding from the Bosch L-Jetronic book there isn't an EPROM (because it doesn't have a microcontroller)
We don't have L-Jet 928s here in the uk of course..... but I would be prepared to see what could be done. I would need an AFM plus an ECU, also a cableform connector for the ECU.
We haven't entirely finshed developing the SharkTuner of course, we are looking at enhancements like variable idle speed setting for the LH 2.3. Plus other ideas as well......

Now that is Fantastic news!!
Is there a package deal for just the LH2.2 EZF sharktuner or do you have to buy the 2.3 and upgrade with the 2.2?

errr....... not at all. The amount of work involved is large and the demand almost non-existant for the '84 Euro.
The best way is to swap out the 84 LH for the later version to allow SharkTuning.
It would also be possible to use a US 85/86 LH in a Euro.

To be able to SharkTune the EZ-F you do need LH2.3 basic ST, with the LH.2.2Aux board and EZ-F software. If it is all ordered at the same time then it would be possible to discount the price somewhat.
