Is there no chip available to enhance this year, 1984?

Do not care to turbo or supercharge this car. Too much involved and may be more of a pain to maintain that it is worth. Like just getting in and going. Although, could use a bit more get up and go as is said.

Not if your car is a US '84 with L-jet.

The LH ECU doesn't have a microcontroller with a chip that you can swap or modify.

It figures, just do not have the luck sometimes. Well, I am putting a Borla exhaust on with a new cat. Must keep the cat on until next year for NYS inspection purposes.

You might not have to wait for that. When I put on the crossovers and high flow cats, I got right through inspection in NJ. Doesn't necessarily have to be stock unless they do a visual. Even then they might not know the difference since there will be cats there, just not stock.

I am very interested in getting my 85 with SC fine tuned. As another lister has indicated I would be willing to contribute or pay for the cost of the upgrade in exchange for some tuning time. I would either come to you with the car or arrange for travel. This is the next logical step. If I can't find someone willing with a tuner then I may have to go with a less suitable alternative (smt-6).

Hi Ken
There are over 12 SharkTuners in the USA. Four of them are upgraded for the LH2.2/EZF for the earlier cars.

Have you tried a new thread "Share upgrade of SharkTuner" ?
